Team Youl Determined to Impress this Year

18yr old Daniel Youl is going to give it his all this year on the 250gp mono, thanks to Quantum Racing Industries. Although he competed in this class last year, it was a year for learning, testing and sorting of the bike for this years 125gp/250gp mono class in the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship.
The 1st round for the support classes of the championship took place at Symmons Plains Tasmania. Daniel was not fortunate to have his bike arrive early for the Wednesday practice sessions. He had to contend for his first ride of his bike for the year to take place at the official practice for the round on the Friday.
Daniel Youl said,“I was just so happy to finally be at Symmons Plains. To get some time on the bike for the first time for the year. Friday was just a practice day for me. I was impressed with the torque of the bike, being able to keep pace with the factory bikes.” Saturday came and that meant qualifying, “ We were still chasing setup and that unfortunately left Daniel to start rear of the factory bikes on the grid for the first race” said Craig Youl.
For race one I didn't get the best start” said Daniel. He was significantly behind at the start but he gained valuable time and pace to catch up to the factory Yamaha bike. That's when Team Youl knew they are right on the money for this years championship. Taking 2nd for the first race. With a unanimouslyunanimous vote from all the riders; racing didn't proceed on Sunday, after a tragic incident that took place with the passing of Judd Greedy. With our sincere and deepest condolence to Judd's family and friends as well as to those involved.
